MEET JAKE FULLER
jake fuller, from Stratford, Connecticut, looks the rock star part, yet has an approachability that shows an unpretentious, down to earth guy. There's an authenticity that emerges in his lyrics and music, which is kind of an old 97's meets pete yorn.
There's a freshness to it, springing from a guy playing music he likes. It feels natural, like you're listening to what he'd like you to hear...not what he hopes you'll like. Some of his lyrics are almost reminiscent of early Jesus music, with their straightforward spiritual focus.
"Won't Stop" is a strong track, throwing in strong guitars, almost rootsy overtones on the verse combined with a melodic chorus that's accessible without being too catchy.
Another track to check out is "You need to know"...which is one of his more poetic songs, and a really solid love song. (see the video)
