Since there are so many of us we play a lot of different types of music.
We love music.
Lots of different ways.
We love people too...with our...art.
Lots of different ways.
okay...we have a mission but this is not a mission statement.
first...
let me tell you about our name.
Gary7 used to live out where the Coyotes wander.
Coyote the Trickster is a compelling figure
life is filled with change
music is filled with life
ch ch ch changes
so anyway...the naming process involved a certain lysergic activity
and generous portions of junk food
and lots of giggling
and yet, the name is a tribute to The Last Poets and Sun Ra.
Our mission is to bring music and poetry to bear on a world struggling to keep imagination and humanity alive in a time of fear and uncertainty

There is so much pain and evil in the world and all we can do is try to be an instrument to initiate change with our art.
Bunch of hippies...naive...whatever.
We believe what we believe...these are good good talented people and they care my friends and family...a tribe...a troupe...whatever.
To quote the late Josef Zawinul
"Our music is a reflection of the state where you arrive as a human being..."

sounds corny...perhaps...but

but it is still a good thing.
