fist in the air!

originally we wanted to release something different at present...
namely the sirko drive-album "a world heated by burning books".
you maybe read it already, there has been a problem with the
harddisk on which the tracks of the songs have been saved (the
harddisk is totaly damaged, and just a few songs survived but
furtunately these ones are the best i produced for the album).
so i decided to create two EPs of the remaining material and
start working on a new album. part one of this EP-double is out
now and titeled "WALKING ON ASHES". from the style you can
expect an agressive sounding mixture of electronic future-rock,
digital hardcore, experimental and industrial. the EP is about a
hazy tissue of an intimidating anti-utopia and our present. what's
reality and what's future is hard to define, because we already live
in a sort of fantasy-world, in a media-made society full of social
unjustice, political intimidation, enormous ingnorance, daily
confusion and the rule of money. the present became science-fiction,
and this EP is the first part of an attemp of a musical description.

fist in the air!

eigentlich wollten wir um diese zeit etwas anderes veröffentlichen...
und zwar das lange angekündigte sirko drive-album "a world heated
by burning books". wie ihr aber vielleicht bereits gelesen habt, gab es
in dieser hinsicht in letzter zeit ein grosses problem... die festplatte
mit den spuren der songs (circa hundert stück) hat den abgang gemacht,
und ein grossteil der albumproduktion mit ihr. glücklicherweise passen
einige der songs, die überlebt haben, thematisch zusammen (die haupt-
songs des geplanten albums, die einzigen von denen es soetwas
wie backups gab). aus diesem grund hab ich mich entschlossen mit
diesem material zwei EPs zu veröffentlichen und diese als kostenlose
downloads zur verfügung zu stellen.
teil eins gibt's ab heute und hat den titel "WALKING ON ASHES".
sound-technisch könnt ihr eine aggressive mischung aus elektronischem
endzeit-rock, digital hardcore, experimental und industrial erwarten.
thematisch spielt die EP in einem verschwommenem gewebe aus
einschüchternder anti-utopie und unserer realität. was gegenwart und
was zukunft ist, ist schwer zu entwirren, da wir bereits jetzt in einer art
scheinwelt leben, in einer medien-gemachten gesellschaft voller
blindem konsum, sozialer ungerechtigkeit, alltäglicher ignoranz,
politischer einschüchterung, gesellschaftlicher verwirrung und kapital-
herrschaft. die gegenwart wurde science-fiction, und diese EP ist der
erste teil des versuchs einer musikalischen umsetzung.
