Reading On A Jet Plane

On a plane to Australia and just finished reading a book called "The Fine Line" by a guy name Kary Oberbrunner.

He talks a lot about what it mean to be in the world but not of it. He says Christ-followers are supposed to be the most liberated people ever to walk the face of the earth--with a message powerful enough to cause the dead to rise and the blind to see. We're supposed to have God living inside of us. We're supposed to know how to be in the world but not of it.

Towards the end of the book he talks about loving people. He says "the only way I can love people is to get to know people."

He talks about how you can't be afraid of uncertainty...you have to embrace it. Making a deep change involves abandoning and walking into a land of uncertainty.

He says you must depend upon God because loving God and people looks different in different circumstances.

Just a few thoughts. I promised Bryan Johnston I would read his new favorite book as well on this trip so I better get started on that one as well.
