After composing many films for the European television, CYRIL MORIN composed his first feature film SAMSARA (2001) directed by Pan Nalin which earned awards in Melboune, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Moscow and Paris. His score to Eran Riklis' SYRIAN BRIDE (2003) earned him a jury awards for best score at the Auxerre international film festival, for Best Music in Cannes, two nominations as Best European composer (European film Awards), and revelation of the year (World sountrack awards). Following in close succesion, Cyril composed the score to American director Ra'up Mcgee's AUTUMN (awarded in Newport Beach festival), ZAINA (audience award for best score in Auxerre film festival), and Karin Albou's LITTLE JERUSALEM (critic's week/Cannes 2005) also awarded for best score in Aubagne and Bastia/France. More recently Cyril lent his talents to Alain Tasma's OCTOBER 17, 1961 (NUIT NOIRE) awarded as best film for the Emmy Awards 2006, Lam Le's 20 NIGHTS AND A RAINY DAY (2005), John Gabriel Biggs's CRY IN SILENCE, awarded in Geneva (2006), and Mattew Mcusic's SHAMELOVE (2006). He has just completed the score for ONE DAY directed by Jacob Berger, and a tv series MAFIOSA directed by Canadian director Louis Choquette for Canal+ and the feature film VALLEY OF FLOWERS in a renewed partnership with director Pan Nalin. Cyril constantly works with directors around the world. He catches all influences who have been fused in his music to create a fresh and unique new voice in film music. Cyril also did a few solo albums inspired by contemporary music. He orchestrated the song «Paradise (not for me) » performed by Madonna, «Never young again» by Mirwais and the album « Safe as Houses » by the English band Mankato.
