Kid Koala presents The Slew ∞
Ninja Tune will be releasing the album '100%' by The Slew on November 24th.
What started as a soundtrack to a film never made has turned into a turntable rock experience.
Four and a half years ago, Eric San (aka Kid Koala) and Dylan J. Frombach (aka Dynomite D) started working on a rock record. The pair, who met on the Beastie Boys tour in 1998, had been approached to soundtrack a documentary feature film. The film was eventually abandoned, but with Mario C on board for mixing, San and Frombach were already deep into the psych rock-influenced score and there was no turning back.
Teaming up with Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, the former rhythm section of Grammy Award-winning band Wolfmother, The Slew set out to put together a full-blown rock band experience to do justice to the material in a live setting. And justice was served: The truly excessive six turntables, drum, bass, keyboard and wall of amps that made their way across North America this October made for a full-on raw, pummeling rock experience. The Slew bring punk rock attitude back to the turntable unlike anything you've ever heard.

New music from Sugar & Gold ∞
Sugar & Gold is described as an androgynous freaky fivesome from San Francisco (say that 3 times fast!). Their pop dance sound falls somewhere between The Pet Shop Boys and The Scissor Sisters. Their new EP titled Aya is out now on Antenna Farm Records. They are just wrapping up their Fall tour. Here are a couple of free tracks from Sugar & Gold. Max Brannslokker is a Latvian producer and DJ currently based in Germany. He has showcased his production talent by having releases on such labels as: Kostbar Music, Globox, i220 and De'fchild Productions. Max has also produced remixes for and his tracks appear on compilations of DFA, Minisketch, Eintakt, Unfoundsound and other labels. Max is not obsessed over any particular music style. His works include elements of progressive, minimal, trance and other genres. At present Max continues expressing himself through music production, performing live, deejaying and running his own platform for music output called Spanda Records.

The aim of Spanda records is to create a platform for eclectic, but dancefloor oriented productions of upcoming and well known forward-looking music artists as well as to provide a primary outlet for productions of an artist best known as Max Brannslokker. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a mix of minimal and old fashioned electronica or 80’s funk and nu rave, but music should sound juicy and pleasant to ears of wide auditory. Generally speaking Spanda records label is going to be a kind of creative laboratory developing broad range of exceptional quality electronic music suitable for listening anywhere and anytime.
Spanda is an old sanskrit term that means “vibration”. In more deeper context of hindu philosophy it is a sacred vibration that stimulates all beings to create, grow personally and to be self-realized.

Ranny is back with two new big remixes ∞
Ranny is always doing top-notch tribal / circuit remixes so I was really happy to get some new music from him. The first is a remix of "Stand Up" by Amuka, famous for such dance hits as "Appreciate Me", "I Want More" and "Craving". The other remix is of "3" by Britney. We have previously featured Ranny's remixes of "If U Seek Amy" by Britney Spears, "Your Love" by Ceevox and "Circus" by Britney.

The deluxe edition came out on November 2nd, and is available at most retail outlets and digital download sites.

Following the successful 'Aftershocks' EP on his own Robots Don't Sleep label, Robot Koch returns with his long anticipated full length 'Death Star Droid'.
Technically, this is Robot Koch's debut LP but the man is no rookie - 'Death Star Droid' connects the dots between his club project Jahcoozi and his post rock outfit The Tape. He has also made beats and remixes for many international artists including Rustie and Amanda Blank - staple drops in the playlists of bass luminaries such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Gas Lamp Killer and Hudson Mohawke.
'Death Star Droid' is infused with dubstep and wonky hip hop, but the introduction of live acoustic instruments and heartfelt melodies is what sets it apart. The grizzly synths and bass lines on 'While' are supported by a drifting piano. On 'Hard To Find' Robot introduces strings and flutes - the signature use of wobbling Moog and Korg present throughout.
