Unexpected

Some sun through the window in my room that don't exist
A simple game to play at where the goals to long to list
I think I'll make it
Just three turns
But the other players
They have learned
That my reasoning
Seems obscene
But it's never wrong or obscure

Red lights from a lava lamp in the basement underhand and house
A begining so unpredictable, even in the end you'll be asking "how?"
I know I'll break it
This endless habit
Just more step
and I'll be set free
But I haven't left yet
and the story takes me back
to the begining where I'm unsure.

People in a marching band at a hospital after a plane crash
They weren't in it but they were involved
They'll get a book deal and make some cash
Have bumper stickers they'll sell on a telecast
I talk to them in waiting room
Of the riches that await them soon
500 dead but who cares if it wasn't you
The last thing they saw was red the first was the sun
In the nd of this game no one has won
I haven't left yet but I'm already gone
and for this there is no cure.
