My name is David Elliott and I like to write words and music and then try to put them together. Usually it doesn't work out too well.
I first got into music when I was a toddler. Growing up I had a plastic hammer that I would pretend was a guitar, it was affectionately called my hammie. This was due in part because my father played guitar; and that was my attempt at emulating him.
I grew up listening to great music (courtesy of Mom and Dad). Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Pink Floyd, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Harry Chapin, and many other exceptional artists. This was what my folks listened to, so it's understandable that it's what I listened to.
During my pre-teen years I really began developing a taste of my own, although that isn't to say that artists from Mom and Dad's collection weren't a part of it. Around age 13 I began trying to write songs... and it's too bad I still don't have some of those, looking back I bet they would make me laugh today.... or violently ill.... or maybe a combination of the two. I would record these with my talkboy, or a boombox, whatever was available at the time.
Now, nine years later I'm still trying to write and record with a little more musical knowledge and a little better gear. Someday I'd like to put out a record... that's the plan.
Also, I rarely play anywhere but bonfires (or places with close friends)... because I'm an intimidated musical hermit.
Check out purebloom records. It's the moniker for my independent label and recording studio. Always looking to work with other artists in any step of the music creating and releasing process.
New Guitar! Sep 14
So, my wife decided to purchase me the guitar that I've been talking about non-stop for the past year. It's likely a brand you have never heard of.
It's an Agile AL-3100M. It's basically a Gibson Les Paul knock-off, but don't be fooled into thinking that means it's chea...

That's probably a good thing, as I fell in love with it again this weekend recording some new jams! It's kind of a cycle that I go through... that guitar falls in and out of favor with me every couple months, but I've never regretted holding onto it.

apologizing for not looking at your site more often as it is alot more interesting than many of my friends (myself included) who hopped on the virb bandwagon but neglected to put any worthwhile content on our sites... maybe when i stop stressing about school and get around to making my summer & starlight virb nice you could give me a couple pointers. jvh
