I bought one. Even though it is a really basic and cheap mic pre, it will be WAY better than the built-in pre's on the MR8-HD. I've read that if you replace the stock tube it will make it even better, however I highly doubt that makes much of a difference... because I've also read the tube isn't used to full potential - it's more of an appeal thing to say it's a tube pre. It's funny because there is a Behringer mic pre that has several internal yellow LEDs that surround the tube so every time you turn it out they fade in and on giving the appearance that the tube has "come alive". Wow... talk about shady.

Either way I'm hoping it will be on its way soon, it was back ordered.
