About
David Niebla, Emmy Award Winning -- Director from California, is experienced in the fields of Cinematography, Broadcast Design and Post-Production.
At an early age, he began experimenting with an old VHS video camera and started shooting short films with elaborate stunt sequences along with his older cousin. After a few years his interest of becoming a stunt man quickly shifted to directing.
After enrolling in a film class at a local community college, David began making various low budget music videos, short films, and other experiments, with equipment he would borrow from school. Soon after he became a film major.
Later, he began working at small production companies where he got involved in a few television shows and low budget horror flicks. Soon he found himself working on more serious projects and decided his true calling was to direct commercials and music videos.
Since then he has directed and produced music videos for artist such as: Multi-Grammy Nominated NORTEC COLLECTIVE, World Famous Techno Band BOSTICH + FUSSIBLE, Swedish Singer EMMA EJWERTZ, Latin Musical Sensation LAURA CARO and World-Renown Musician CECI BASTIDA (Julieta Venegas and Tijuana No).
His work has been featured on some of the most recognizable Networks in the business, like MTV, VH1 and Much Music, as well as, on many web based music channels like NME TV, Blastro and AOL Video.
His pieces have been well criticize and have been nominated at several International Film Festivals across the world, including the London Independent Film Festival (LIFF), the Latin America Cinemateca of Los Angeles and the San Diego Latino Film Festival.
He has been fortunate enough to receive fabulous praise for his work, including an Emmy ® Award from the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCE (NATAS).
Currently, he is developing several music videos and a treatment for a new short film.
