David Ramos' album "This Up Here" will be the first release on new label Fake Four Inc. with the collaborative help of Grimm Image Records and Squids Eye Records. David's album is a wonderfully flowing collection of lushly produced indie pop songs made with a basement's worth of casios, melodicas, acoustic guitars, banjos, live percussion and drum machines. David's new album is more than indie pop, lo fi, underground hip hop or folk. "This Up Here" is a whimsical, sad, funny, nostalgic and authentically emotional album that shows new depth to David Ramos' songwriting talent.
Over the years, as a drummer for Anonymous Inc. and Toca, David Ramos has recorded with some of the most important names in progressive hip hop including Dose One and Sole of Anticon, Busdriver, and Aceyalone. In 2007 David Ramos was named one of Modern Drummer magazine's "Top 10 Progressive Drummers for Today", and his creative subtle use of drum recording, drumming and percussive elements on "This Up Here" is not flashy but never disappoints.
David's new album can be respected by all as a mature and developed piece of work and is can be appreciated by fans from diverse as K- Records, Elephant 6, Anticon, and Project Blowed.
