To make a patterned background you would make a square document in photoshop or any other designing program then draw your background, and set it to repeat...

Hello, nice profile you have here... very clean and crisp design. Nice :) Can you please tell me how to have my own background image as well as a nice big banner appear up on my profile? Does it have to be done via CSS? Coz I know nothing about it... please let me know! Thx :)
