My Bulldog Roxy is a mess. Every time I come home she gets so excited she pees all over the place. Every time somebody comes over she mauls them at the door. She’s all love. She snores at night. I mean the kind of snore that keeps you awake at night. And she passes gas that is just atomic. It is unlike anything I have ever smelled before!

But the thing I learn the most from Roxy is her faith. Every time I get food, she believes that today could be the day that I feed her a bite. I’ve never fed her in her entire life. Not even once. But she follows me around, never takes her eyes off of me. She camps out underneath our kitchen table just in case Ethan or Emma drops something. She has great faith. She believes.

She has the faith to sit and wait. She has the faith to believe even though she can’t look back in her life and point to a time when things worked out.

I want the kind of faith with God that Roxy has.
