well this is a new chapter in my life im working at teen challenge as staff ,working for freedom chapel youth !! THE STANDARD , and i have the privillage of doing worship for the gathering church in nyc!! I love it God has really ginen me my desire's the same place i rocked out in the village with my band i now am rocking 4 Jesus !!Im new to this thing so holla back!!!

oh yea and there is not really much more to say about my old life, i was lost and now im found I do have three beautiful children though!!!

MY LIFE IN A NUT SHELL!!

Dean James Silva has led an incredibly storied career and continues to live out his passion for music in the rock industry. Raised in a Christian home, where he was introduced to the teachings of Christianity, Dean grew up as a child of a single parent who was raising four children. Through the trial's of those early years the faith of his mother strengthened and refined his character as she regularly brought Dean to church, where his love for music first began. And at the age of twelve Dean began to sing and play the drums at his local church.

At eighteen, he relocated to Los Angeles, California and was introduced to the music industry in Hollywood among many other things.

He was fortunate to begin his career opening up for such world-renowned rock groups such as Leslie West, Vanilla Fudge, and many others. By the time he turned twenty-one, Dean developed into a well rounded and recognized musician and recording artist in his own right He soon then married a young model and began his family. With a family and thriving career, it became evident at that moment Dean could not balance the demands of life and His Drug addiction, and was divorced twice by the age of twenty-six.

Dean found himself playing in the bars and clubs of New York City just to support his heroin habit while in his addiction he began to write about his struggles with women and his love for heroin often praising the destructive drug and, his lifestyle of Sex, Drugs and Rock-n-roll.

After many arrests for possession of heroin Dean spent six months in a county jail in Riverhead Long Island, and five years probation. While in jail Dean met Jamel Carter, Executive A&R for lace records, who then introduced Dean to Sunny Carter, president of lace records, when Dean was released from incarceration, he immediately signed with lace records in January of 2006.

Without addressing his addiction, Dean soon found himself in trouble with the legal system, living all over New York desperately trying to keep his young career alive. Once again playing in small clubs and bars to support his habit destroying everyone's life around him as well as his own. By this time divine intervention stepped into his situation and Dean found himself mandated to Teen Challenge , Now a year later he has overcome some of his demons that held him back and is currently writing new songs of redemption instead of death.
