I remember being very touched after watching Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ". Not too long after that Bruno, my producer, sent me a track to listen to. The touching, almost melancholy guitar rift and the simple yet powerful melody won my heart instantly. I started jotting down images and thoughts that came to my mind as I meditated on the Lord's passion. Mike and I went over those thoughts and together we wrote the lyrics of "All this (for me)". We wanted the listener to understand the depth of the ordeal Jesus went through, and the reason why He did: His passion was His unconditional love towards each one of us.

I personally believe that Christianity is not a religion, but a beautiful intimate relationship with God: a relationship that is based on God's actions and our response. We love Him because He first loved us. If we had a strong revelation of His love towards us, it would not be difficult to live for Him and love Him as He deserves to be loved. That is my greatest endeavor: to know the width and the length and the height of the love of Christ that I may be filled with the fullness of God. That is the point of this song. I pray that the Holy Spirit may use All This For Me to help us realize it more deeply than ever before.
