About

Kyle Evan Dorey aka Decipher was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on January 7th, 1989. The son of Kevin Angus Dorey and Michele Pickrem, he grew up in both Enfield and Lower Sackville. By age twelve, Decipher had begun to explore the world of hip hop music and also began to write his own lyrics inspired by music from emcees such as, Rakim, Tupac, Biggie, Krs-1, Masta Ace, Big L, Eminem, Jay-z & Nas, Kool G Rap, & Big Daddy Kane.

Decipher began to develop his own sound and style, and by age sixteen had started releasing songs featuring locally establish artists in his hometown province to compile a mixtape of collaborations entitled, "Welcome 2 Scotia" The mixtape is now available in stores across the Atlantic provinces.

Mid 07' Decipher Appeared In The Spesh K feat Jordan Croucher & DL Incognito - " Start A New Day" video and also Performed In A Live Cipher With Krs-1 at which up to 2000 people where an attendance.

Decipher has appeared on the front page of hiphopcanada.com, has performed across the Atlantic provinces promoting music, and has also had the best record in the quickly popular growing "Elements League" Rap Battles. Decipher is currently beginning to get plays on well known Halifax radio stations such as Z103.5 "The Beat of Halifax" and CKDU 88.1.

Decipher is currently working on his up-incoming album. 2009 promises to be a big year for Decipher as he continues on his journey through the world of hiphop.
