dep has been producing music since 1994. he started out writing scores for video games and videos before wafting in to a more singer/songwriter stint which lasted for about 4 years. Throughout his genre shifts, dep has always maintained a keen interest in electronic and ambient music and has recently shifted his efforts to focus on these genres.
"I'm completely taken with electronic music. There's so much room for depth and experimentation. You can find lushness of sound in the most minimalistic of electronic beats, and you have license and obligation to try and compel your listener. Each individual layer -- every tiny sample and every single track tells its own story. There's nothing more fun than this." -dep

Working on a netLabel release... Nov 18
Hello. You may have noticed the lack of new music here lately. I'm still writing, be sure of that, but I'm currently working on a release for a NetLabel -- myuzyk.net !
Stay tuned for that!
heads up! you'll find one of my new tracks on the compilation above!
Just noticed this track was on a UK radio station called Purple Radio. The set included such artists as Thievery Corporation, Goldfrapp, the Rolling Stones, Underworld, and Tom Waits. I'd say I'm in pretty good company! :)

dep, I'm thinking of going to Scotland in January. I figure: If Boards of Canada have been well received there, then I'd feel at home at least somewhat. I'd like hear back from you and what you've been composing. -tgnwb

thanks for your message dep things here on the music front are ........ interesting. Getting to grips with Ableton and a suitcase full of vsts, really looking forward to a summer of sunshine instead of trying to get a tan from the VDU. Off to Birmingham tonight to watch/listen to .... oh god, where's the tickets ?! its been a while since I've seen anyone live that doesn't look as though they are checking their email on stage, so this should be interesting. Finshed the E-Series project , its been like decorating, great to begin with, but you just want to get it done after 5 months. I've been listening to a lot of OTT, Goldfrapp, the Transit Kings and the new Orb album. Looking forward to your new trax, you know how to keep an iplod happy. cheerz

hi dep, hope you're well. your sound seems to have progressed. I've been in a 'creepy' phase myself. Speaking of which, nice job with spooky dollhouse! Is the music box synthesized? The counterpoint is delightful. I'm not sure if you've visited my page recently, but I've added some new music as well as a new featured video by a group I like. All the best, t.g.n.w.b.

so how are the net label release tracks progressing ? will they be a dep-arture from the dep sound ? will they be as dep-endable sonically ? or are you now an axe wielding guitar god ? ah, thanks for the response - great to hear that things are progressing well. I am still trying to learn more about vocal processing for a track with another virb artist - apodiform - I never realised there was such a huge part of effect processing I had never investigated - and I am finding it really difficult/challenging. ...and in the space between Daft is writing minimal techno/house for fun. Looking forward to the bulletin when your tracks are released
