To describe Derivative Contrivance is to describe something that is always morphing, always growing, always being terraformed. The name of the outfit itself is the best I can do to convey my mission. I seek to strip my music of all outside influences in order that I may produce something that is not just a carbon copy of something else already in existence. And you wonder what it sounds like? Well, it sounds like Gameboy soundchips malfunctioning, vintage synthesizers short-circuiting while performing the insignificant works of a musical nincompoop, and pretty much everything you can image from victorious warriors bellowing a triumphant chantey to alien mainstream pop music to the themesong from a grade-b 80's spy film. As I mentioned earlier, I seek to strip this music of all outside influences. It is a nearly insurmountable task, but I will accomplish it someday.
