Party Like a Rockstar

Saturday night over 100 people attended a benefit at the Salem Convention Center for the YWCA Salem Outreach Shelter. The theme, Party Like a Rockstar was a hit. It was a fabulous party with many supporters dressed as their favorite rockstar. Johnny Cash, June Carter, Elvis, the Band Kiss, Madonna, Elton John, Prince and many other famous celebrities attended. The night was filled with fun, hilarity, dancing, dining and fundraising. I'm one of those people who is still having a ball with what I do and this wedding shoot was no exception. This couple had spark and passion. To top it off they got a bit of snow as they were leaving for their honeymoon. In April!

I am one year older today. I was born in Greenville, South Carolina in the Bob Jones University hospital. My parents were living in married student housing I believe.

Last week's word for the week is "ablation". I found out that there are several kinds, one of which I had appointment for at the hospital- the other refers to a type of spiritual offering or commitment common to people entering a monastery for a period of time.
