DICK - Miss Moo, Charlotte told us you got collected. TOM - Did it hurt? 'cos I was thinking of getting collected. DICK - You don't have to get collected, numpty, you're, and god knows why, but you are part of the collective. TOM - Well Charlotte wanted to know if she should wear socks with her trainers and what colour, so I reckon it's because of my sock expertise. DICK - Tom, you know she's dead! She's just winding you up. TOM - Yeah, I know that. Anyway we will still linger. DICK - Like one of Tom's eggy smells.

TOM - No! No! No! 'cos, 'cos, folding socks is brilliant! You can fold them one at a time or in pairs. Then there is the single fold. The double fold. The very tricky treble fold, or even the sporty fold, which is more like a ball than a fold, granted, but it takes skill and you can throw sporty folds at Dick. A true artistic sock folder like me, as opposed to a weekend sock folder, can instinctively match the kind of fold needed to suit the sock. Sock folding is all about angles and takes dedication and practice. The best part of folding socks, the very best part, is that once the socks are folded and colour co-ordinated they can then be counted. So how brilliant is that! I like that picture of socks you sent, I'm going to print that up, frame it, and put it on my bedside cabinet.
