I seem to have survived the first week as a hired graphic designer. Just barely. I have never been under this type of circumstance where I'd have to be sitting for more than 8 hours both learning and designing as fast as I could. I was told the learning curve was a bit steep, only to get in there on Tuesday and realize it's actually a straight ramp aligned at 15°.
I took some work home, but the thing is the more I keep saying that I realize it's just a lie. It doesn't feel like I'm working as much as it feels like I'm flexing creative muscle. On new assignments I get nervous and excited at the same time, because I have this pressure to deliver as soon as possible, but at the same time I get to do all these things that are new and pro-looking. Oh, and also I don't wanna screw up.
I feel challenged for the first time in a long ass while and I don't wanna disappoint. It just feels good.
