Hi. My name is julia and I like to DJ. I also like doing design for print and web I'm learning video and animation.I do web dev, like code stuff. Additionally I sometimes do some music production. I used to do a monthly club night at the Mercury every month on the second Thursday called (whats your) Muse - It was essentially electro and techno. The harder the better - and everything in between. Mainly sounds geared for the dancefloor. Not a minimal night really. Anyway, check it out online here: http://www.whatsyourmuse.com I sort of started it before the whole "disco punk" type sound had really caught on in the States around 2006 so I didn't really know exactly what to call the genre of music in which I was hoping to promote but I knew the sound. Muse evolved on the cutting edge of this sound playing host to afterhours for the Institubes crew and having guest DJ spots from Le Castle Vania and Curses! -- locally we played host to such DJ talent as Recess, Kristina Childs, Nordic Soul, Blu, Thrills, Axcys, Travis Baron, Xben, Amateur Youth, Luying, Res, Colby B, Chompers and of course, myself. It was definitely a labor of love but now I am ready to take my Muse brand to the next level and hope to turn it into a sort of one-off production company.

Future collaborations with other promoters and clubs are hopefully in its future
