About

Okibi (real name Chris Wakefield) is an up-and-coming young DJ and producer from Victoria, BC. With an early beginning in drum and bass and dubstep, and mentoring from some of the Island's finest, Okibi is poised to make his mark on the Island's broken-beat scene. He brings a diverse bag of beats to every set: from rolling liquid funk, to dubwise exclusives, bangin' jump up, and glitched out dubstep. Okibi stays true to the old school sound, while pioneering future vibes. He founded Union Sound System in late 2006, as a means of bringing together local artists under a single banner.
