went into a christian bookstore today for the first time in ages. such a strange idea. the books. the music. the lapel pins. it had not changed much. i noticed a tiny shelf hidden off to the side labeled "catholic". it only had a few tattered bibles, a book about the …

sight and sound

i took judah for a walk through the neighborhood today. we talked about the different shapes of older homes and the bittersweet smell of pollen. i find myself often getting lost in his eyes.

i spend a lot of time trying to figure that out.

the empty house.

the family is returning today. flight eight-three-nine. i did not realize thirteen days was so long. i miss her smell and the sound of him breathing at night.
