Second album under the name Liquid Stranger for the prolific producer from Arizona (USA) Martin Stääf. After a first full album release in year 2007 and some releases with this scene name and a multitude of productions with other aliases, Liquid Stranger is coming back for "The Intergalactic Slapstick" on the label Interchill Records.
On this new album, the producer propose a dub music which is very own and composed of various influences. The sound of the record is before all inna psychedelic dub style. A very interesting sound. To this sound, Liquid Stranger has added in a very good way some influences from East Europe such as gipsy music or from India and tones from the native Indians of North America. Very nice.
Also, he added some drops of dubstep (but not some much, just enough). By this fact, the production varies and waves between a electro-dub chill-out and powerful tracks in the limit of drum and bass with a bit of stepper to spice the sound.
More, it appears three different singers too: Brother Culture for two pieces of pur electro rub-a-dub style, Warrior Queen for a powerful "Mutants" inna dubstep style (à la Undubground) and Deeyah for a song "goastep".
The result is a album very unique which could touch people who are more oriented electro music inna dub style.
