Lou, a.k.a Dutch (a nickname embraced from her childhood) was born in East Los Angeles and grew up in a large musical family in El Monte, California. Dutch's vocal ability came naturally with no formal vocal lessons and was nurtured through performing alongside some of Latin music's biggest names at the tender age of 5. Artists such as Lucha Villa and Los Tigres Del Norte. Her musical influences stem from one extreme to another. Growing up on artists such as Juan Gabriel, Javier Solis, Jose Jose, Vicente Fernandez, Cheap Trick, Queen, The Pretenders, Berlin, Human League, Madonna, New Order, U2, and The Smiths shaped her technique. When her sister Angelica was signed to Arista Latin, Dutch became one of her backup vocalists at shows all throughout the United States.
In 2001 she joined and led a Spanish Rock band named "Eden" and played the local circuit in Los Angeles, it was through that circuit that a talented musician and friend Rick Jeschke Deliz introduced her to Argentinean rock pop group Vilma Palma. She remained in Eden but took the opportunity to tour Nationally, Internationally and record as a back up vocalist for Vilma Palma. After a Hiatus from Eden she recorded backup vocals for Latin Hip Hop Artist Malverde on his album "Mi Palabra", (Special Edition). Dutch has been a talented force in the background. It has been through all of her wonderful experiences that have served as an inspiration to her current project.
Dutch is currently working on her first solo EP with Joey Medina -Lead Vocals for Alternative Indie band, " The Tenderbox", Andy Magallon bass player for Rock Indie band ,"Ashbury", and Johnnie Vargas of Post punk Electronica / Indie band, "Bullet for Dali".
