Cubehead is a synth punk project based around Philadelphia, PA. It's a sonic assault of layered synthesizers, guitars, drumbeats, and other noise. The show sounds like video game soundtracks fused with punk rock: Nintendocore and psychedelic punk -- or, if you like, a guitar slamming into Carson Daily's head.
The guitar-throwing doesn't end with Carson Dailys head. Just ask any of the annoyed patrons at Rex's Bar (West Chester), the North Star (Philly), the Pontiac (Philly), Cloud 9 (Phoenixville), Fennario's (West Chester), Hary's (Yes, one R. Allentown), the Madison Ridge Tavern (New Tripoli. Ever see Deliverance?), the Gryphon (Wayne), the Millennium Music Conference (Harrisburg), the 5 Spot, the Fire, or FDR Skatepark (All Philly).
The forthcoming filthy disgrace to humanity, (or CD, depending on whose side youre on) tentatively called Abstraktion, is kept more secret than Cubehead founder Jorge's love affair with La Toya Jackson. Decoy demos and press releases have been thrown to the public, but what will really lie on the album?
Cubehead's goal is to be the boy band of punk rock. Never mind the Khyber or CBGB's; Cubehead is going straight for MTV ass-kissery. The guitar slamming comment is all fun and games, and Cubehead will laugh about this backstage with Mister Daily, after accepting countless awards for the year's most-requested music video on TRL. Will Cubehead be featured on pajamas and lunch boxes, too? Imagine a Cubehead cartoon! The marketing possibilities are endless.
