ON FIRE VIDEO PREMIERE IN TOKYO, JAPAN !

Revolution and Sexual-Revolution Film Festival will be held from 8th -21st of October at UPLINK FACTORY in Tokyo, Japan. "Digital Hardcore!!!!" will be screened on the 7th and 8th Oct / 7:00PM. Philipp Virus will present the uncut version of the ON FIRE video for the first time alongside 1 hours worth of other Alec Empire videos...

The Virus did this fucked short film with my song ON FIRE with actress Natalia Avelon (Miron Zownir is also acting in there as fucked up freak who is observing people having sadistic sex games while sitting in a wheel chair....fucking crazy shit!)!

While it will take a few more weeks to hit Europe, I suggest go to the screening in Tokyo!!!

(They also show 1hour of Alec/Virus videos...some older stuff etc...)

If you don't already know it, EYHO Records is building up a network of people around the globe to get involved with local promotional activities and since we started putting this together three weeks ago the response has been amazing. We've already established a great network of interested and enthusiastic individuals who are prepared to devote a little of their time to plugging the EYHO name in clubs, bars, record stores, venues and uni campuses in towns and cities where they live.

So far, we've managed to engage the services of people from Canada to Japan, from Ireland to Poland, Germany to Austria, Portugal to Norway and several stops in between.

But the world is a BIG place and we have some gaps we'd liked filled!

New year...new label..new album!

Two years since Futurist and Alec Empire welcomes in 2008 with a new label, a new sound and, more importantly, a new album. Representing, as he says himself, "a side of me that has always been there, but hasn't been heard yet", THE GOLDEN FORETASTE OF HEAVEN retains the forcefulness and political savvy which have become his trademarks but is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, the distorted noise and hardcore riffs making way for funky beats and crisp, clean, danceable electronica.

A new generation of kids are about to discover Empire's voice and politics; but this time on the dancefloor as opposed to the rioting streets. DJs and radio stations across Europe have already been spinning On Fire, Ice, Bug on my Windshield and, the appropriately titled NEW MAN paving the way for Golden Foretaste to become one of Alec Empire's most successful releases to date.

Hitting stores, including our own EYHO online shop, from 18th January 2008 the album will be available on CD (jewel case) and from Cargo Records as a double gatefold vinyl!

Slated for a Spring 2008 release, this will be the definitive DVD history of all things Alec-related and a worthy replacement for those well-worn DHR VHS you all have. Getting this material out on DVD was a longer process than expected as Alec didn't want to release the exact same DHR VHS footage on DVD. So expect many new surprises on this DVD compilation, all re-mastered in wonderful digital quality, supersonic sound and no doubt the sexiest packaging you ever saw!

Alec Empire is back on home turf. Five years since the release of Futurist it's all change at the Empire camp. Out goes Digital Hardcore and all the Atari baggage, in comes Eat Your Heart Out and a smart new sound and style. The image may have changed but the aggression and political savvy are still there...they're just presented in a different way. Think AND dance. That's the message here. Already causing a stir from the States to Japan and everywhere in between, Golden Foretaste is probably Alec's most controversial album yet, simply because it doesn't sound like anything he's ever done before. Can you imagine the Alec Empire of Atari Teenage Riot or Intelligence and Sacrifice working with artists such as Goose, Crystal Castles, Patrick Wolf, Raveonettes...? No? Well, they're all lined up for collaborations early this year.

Legendary techno venue Tresor plays host to the launch of Alec's latest LP, the first on his new imprint Eat Your Heart Out. ALEC EMPIRE MEETS ROBERT STADLOBER

One of Germany's best known musicians recently met up with one of Austria's best known actors in what may become one of Arte's best known editions of "Durch die Nacht mit..."! Both Alec and Robert managed to successfully avoid any Ultravox references during their evening out in Vienna shortly before Christmas to film an episode of the now legendary star meets star programme. If you want to find out all about Alec's and Robert's opinions on their work, their lives, music, politics, society and much more then keep your eyes peeled for their edition of the programme. Broadcast date is still TBC but is touted to appear sometime in March. We'll keep you posted!

CHANGES TO EUROPEAN TOUR PLAN

Well, first let's get the bad news out of the way. As you may already have heard from one source or another, the first few dates of 'The Golden Foretaste' European Tour had to be moved to April. Nic Endo contracted a severe ear drum infection and was advised that any exposure to noisy environments would likely permanently damage her inner ear and so we reluctantly decided that dropping the first two weeks of the tour was the most sensible thing to do. We're very sorry to have disappointed so many of you but rest assured, the cancelled shows will be re-scheduled for April and we'll keep you up to date with information as we have it.

A heads up to all the Frankfurt fans - ...mid-way through the Euro tour, Alec and Co. stop off at Tanzwut West for a DJ night. RELEASE THE RECORD - THE GOLDEN FORETASTE OF HEAVEN DROPS AT TRESOR

The 17th of January saw the EYHO crew invade legendary Berlin techno venue Tresor to present...something a little different. Out went the grubby 90s techno, in came EYHO and the sound of New Berlin. Our hot favourites Reznik, Emma Eclectic and Buggy span some killer electro tunes while Alec himself took to the decks for a crossover set incorporating fan favourites from his back catalogue with hot new album tracks and personal favourites from 2008. And with a crossover album being presented, no surprises that there was a crossover crowd from DHR's most hardcore fans to Berlin's next generation of Bright Young Things.

And the wonderful Sofia Neves and the Neon Sleep crew were there to document the event. A selection of pics can be found at the EYHO Myspace page. Vice magazine also published a review of the night on their blog (in German) with a picture gallery.
