Ed Garrett

Regional Director

About

2009 Challenge to Impact information can be found in the "Posts" section of this web site.

Serving the West Coast for The Master's Men Ministry is Ed Garrett. Feeling the deep calling to empress upon the need for strong marriages and to establish noble men for Christ, Ed Garrett sees this journey as a cry for help. Men are in need in our culture of discovering the true foundations of what God has called them to be as a man, husband, and father. Sharing his own story, Ed helps men travel their spiritual roads through relationships and connections. And from the marriage said, the calling is based on the need to stop the divorce cycle our society is in and to bring Christ to the center of all marriages.

Ed now spends a majority of his ministry time mentoring men and couples towards spiritual growth. As a lay counselor Ed welcomes this part of his calling and prays that more opportunities arise. If you are interested in speaking with Ed about mentoring, please contact him.

A snippet of Ed's background: Ed Garrett has been blessed to be used by God in many coaching arenas. He has spent stints coaching women's volleyball at Point Loma Nazarene University (CA), The University of North Florida, Colorado Christian University, Montreat College (NC), and San Diego Christian College. In 1994 Ed joined the United States Olympic Volleyball Programs as Assistant Director of Operations. In 1996 Ed was promoted to the first ever Team Manager for the newly formed Beach Volleyball Teams, which took the sports first Gold and Silver medals for Men's Beach Volleyball at the Atlanta Summer Olympics. But Ed's sports world does stretch outside volleyball. For 2000-2002 Ed joined the Colorado Rockies Baseball staff, serve in guest relations and operations. Growing up always wanting to be a professional baseball player, working for the Rockies on the diamond fulfilled a childhood dream.

Ed is currently serving as the Regional Director for Master's Men ministries, serving both Arizona and Southern California. Ed is happily married to his best friend Mandy. They have four kids: Maddie, Eddie, Mackenzie, and Easton. They reside in Tucson, AZ.

Ed has used his athletic relationships to establish connections for the Lord. He uses the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed him with towards sharing the powerful message and call of men in the church and in God's Kiongdom. What does Master's Men West Coast believe?

Vision Statement

To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence and impact of men as husbands and fathers.

Mission Statement

To present to men and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

Statement of Faith

- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

- We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

- We believe in the deity of Christ (John 1:1), in His virgin birth (Matthew 1:18, 25), in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (Hebrews 9:15-22), in His bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-8), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11) and in His personal return in power and glory (Hebrews 9:27-28).

- We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men (women), regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7)

- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)

- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 2:1-4)
