The 857 Collective is a PR & Marketing agency that actually has a grip on what is making people stoked in this fast-paced, trend-happy music & lifestyle cosmos. We pride ourselves on making our clients a part of that good stuff…with the sleep-well knowledge that we do it right EVERY TIME.
Co-founders Celeste Tabora and Adam Hobbs started the Collective with the notion that they could actually do some of the CRAZY stuff that they've always wanted to do for press and marketing; who would have thought that CRAZY and MUSIC could go hand in hand, right?? Our 'collective' know-how comes from working at record companies, being in the van on tour, going to shows in faraway places, living in different US cities, and always being in the mix so that when it comes to getting people excited, there is no guesswork.
The 857 Collective isn't just people on our payroll; it's everyone that we work with: bands, DJs, managers, agents, labels, magazines, TV networks, radio stations, cool non-music companies, promoters, clubs, venues, bars, stores and more. We're all working together to keep our way of life alive and fun. Giving back what we took when we started falling in love with music and its lifestyle.
And the proof is in the pudding:. Every year the creative team at 857 has done cool events around SXSW (and ALL major festivals) and this year is no exception. We knew that with so much going on in Austin that week, we had to just say "fuggit" and come up with the most amazing stuff ever, OR BUST. So we called David Cross and Sean at The New Ship and the event "Mess With Texas" was born.
