WHERE WE'RE FROM

Elevaters is a group that first came together as friends and collaborators while studying theater and music at the University of California Los Angeles. It was their deep love of music that brought them together. Elevaters' sound reflects the social tumult of their parents generation, the beat and poetry of the hip-hop generation, and the progressive vision of a generation yet to come.

WHAT IT IS

Since making a professional commitment to their project in early 2005, Elevaters' unique live shows and recordings have earned the following credits:

~One of the top ten underground hip-hop and soul artists of 2006 Hip Hop RnB Soul.com

~Shows with legendary hip-hop artists De La Soul,
KRS One, and Medusa

~Elevaters' single "Let's Get Real" featured on Dane Cook's HBO series "Tourgasm"

~Featured in Santa Monica Daily Press 9/29/06 and Daily Bruin 4/6/2007

~Have brought sizeable crowds to Los Angeles area venues including Avalon, Key Club Hollywood, Knitting Factory Hollywood, UCLA Bruin Plaza, Viper Room, Temple Bar, The Mint, Inspiration at the Palmer Room and House of Blues Hollywood.

~Played socially conscious benefits for Universal Love Foundation, Common Vision, and World AIDS Awareness Day.

WHERE WE'RE GOING

Elevaters is connecting with a wider audience and stepping into new opportunities. The band is pursuing greater exposure through a distribution deal, record label interest, private sponsorship, touring opportunities and the avenues of radio and other media. They released their first full-length album Rising in May 2007.
