Pretty doesn't do much for my soul. Its got to be either sublime in it simplicity, or gloriously messy and complex. Its like Flow on one pole, and wikipedia on the other.

Yeah its pretty alright, but do I really have time for yet another social networking site? As a designer the most humbling moment of my education came when, despite the best intentions of my colleagues (read: whining and bitching), I learned that sometimes ugly works just fine. There's just something disarming and accesible about ugly things.
