That title image was time consuming... there's no real easy way to do it. What I did was I took a photo of teddy bear fur and made the shape of the letters out of it. Then, by hand, I drew all the little hairs sticking out of the letters so it would look fluffy. I made some of the hairs slightly translucent so they'd look like they were further away, and made some of the hairs fully opaque so they'd look closer. That's basically it.
