EMBERS REMAIN was solidified in central New Jersey by August of 2005, although parts of the band were in place as early as 1999. Having all been part of other projects that had dissolved, the individuals were left to find others that to partake in a new project. Although Ed, Slobo, and Marino had known each other since college, it would take a chance run in that would bring the three back together again. With a handful of songs written sans vocal lines, the trio began the search for a vocalist. Having just recently moved back to the east coast, Dave was offered a try out and was inserted into the lineup shortly thereafter.
Dave finalized the band, bringing along numerous hardcore/metalcore influences, along with an extreme amount of energy and intensity. Through consistently heavy, yet groove-driven drumlines influenced by everything from thrash metal to jazz, Marino adds the much needed element of dynamics. Slobo introduces the intricate and full bass sounds that are missing from so many of our favorite metal albums; while Ed completes the mix by providing meticulous and explosive guitars.
Their music combines heavy and melodic lines with creative song structures, fused with metal influences from many bands that range from early 80s thrash to modern metalcore.
From the very first note that rings out until the last intense scream that permeates the air, EMBERS REMAIN is sure to please. With no signs of slowing down, EMBERS REMAIN looks to take the upper east coast by storm in support of their as of yet titled EP.
