On Sunday I sang a few songs as part of a cabaret night at the Joogleberry, Brighton...Jamm's Jiant January Joogleberry Jam was organised and fabulously hosted by my colleague and friend at work (Jamm) and also featured performances by other pals of ours from work and beyond. It was a cosy night...thank you to my friends (and Dad!) who came and supported me, I was feeling a bit tender with a cough/cold combo but pulled it off not badly all things considered!

I've just put up a couple of the songs I sang - see the new album. I wrote both at uni many years ago for a jazz module and only rediscovered them the other week; I thought they'd fit well with the Joogleberry vibe so I revamped the chords a bit and handed them over to Jamm, who did great things with the piano on them and after a quickie rehearsal - hey presto! I now sing jazz!! (Bear in mind the recording's very raw and my voice was a little coldy and under-rehearsed...) It's refreshing to sing in a new style. I'm all excited now!
