i'm currently reading:
"flow my tears, the policeman said" - philip k. dick i'm still absorbing it. yesterday, i read a passage about grief that nearly brought me to tears. in addition to the text, i'm reading the pkd essay, "how to build a universe..." that relates phil's theories regarding time, space, and the nature of coincidence that blurs the lines between fiction and reality. the stuff about "flow my tears" is especially unsettling.
the wakeful hours
twee pop, vinyl records, narrative fiction, non-fiction essays, playwriting, reading books of all kinds, national public radio, pancake mountain, D&;D, DIY crafting, sewing, construction, theatre (though, not musical theatre), improving my immune system, cooking and/or baking, learning to play instruments, paper mache, journalism, public libraries, zines, vintage stores and resale shops, yard sales and flea markets, drawing, comics, lying on the couch, dogs, plastic banks, playgrounds, learning the language of subcultures outside of my immediate interests, trying to incorporate ikea into my ecclectic design mindset (it's possible!), smoking cigarettes, bartending, discerning what music a particular person might like, making mix tapes/CDs, ecology, puppetry, riding a bike, walking, listening to music music music, dancing, hair dyeing, discussing the nature of the universe in pop culture perspective, lists, learning more about obscure bands i've heard one song by, movies, secret sushi!, preparing rice, reading craigslist for entertainment purposes, not sleeping too much.
