There's a new way of doing films now. I became aware of this recently, when I was asked to contribute a soundtrack for a film that was shot entirely in the virtual world of Second Life. You can watch it in YouTube.

When I heard about the idea, I was enthralled, but when I saw the result, set to my cue "Something's Going On (Ambient)", which can be heard here at my Virb profile, I was speechless. It's called "California Legacy in SL - Episode1: Bunker Hill by Raymond Chandler".

The set is all built in SL, and the actors are avatars controlled in real time while filming. It is part of the series "California Legacy in SL". You can watch it in YouTube
