So I baked two of the French brothers vegan cookies for their respective birthdays (only a month or two ago--no big deal; I am still the best co-worker ever) and Jesse, the sneaky bastard, intercepts my throwing the bag o cookies at them and pockets them! DENIED!

In better news, my personal favorite The End band, AGALLOCH, will finally release "The White EP" through Vendlus Records in early 2008. It is the follow-up to 2004's "The Grey EP" (also on Vendlus) and represents the completion of this body of work. According to the band, "The White EP" contains seven more dark folk and ambient works written and recorded over the past 3 years.

Also, they've scheduled 4 live dates. And I officially hate everyone who lives in the Northwest. You guys get all the good shows lately (this, Estradasphere and Amanda Palmer...).

March - TBA - Portland, OR - TBA
March - TBA - Seattle, WA -TBA
March 28th - Lichtenfels, Germany - Stadthalle
March 29th -Vosselaar, Belgium - Biebob

Also, UNEXPECT will be on the Telly soon! Saturday, October 27th at 12:30 am (New York time, dyuh!) our favorite Canadians (anybody who is not Bromley is our favorite Canadians.. JK!) will be playing their song "Desert Urbania" on FOX's Fearless Music (can I fit one more section in parenthesis in this sentence? Yes, I think I can). Other bands performing on this week's episode include: Smith Island, London Egg, The Oskar and Psycholovers and Theo and The Skyscrapers. So if you're not out at a hell-o-ween party this Saturday, as I know I will be, check it out. And Tivo it for me. Please?

Somebody (rumored to be the Canadian Adrian Bromley...) apparently took out all their aggression on The End's appliances and has completely destroyed our COFFEE MACHINE. How does The End expect us all to be good employees without a steady stream of caffeine? Will the French brother's survive? Updates to come, after I finish this post about our bands:

LORDI, THE END, and WOOZYFLY have teamed up for 24-hour online Hell-o-ween broadcast

The show will feature a 24-hour marathon with interviews from LORDI, videos and the World Exclusive Premiere of the concert at THE FILLMORE in New York City (shot on October 29th, 2007), where yours truly will be drinkin in the crowd.

WoozyFly will also feature some other bands, such as Kittie, Spottiswoode, Zack Hillyard, Devante, and Hysterics, among others.

New Seattle-ites ESTRADASPHERE have scheduled 4 West Coast dates with Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls.

I am insanely jealous of the West Coast right now; not only do you guys have amazing weather, but you've got four great shows coming up:

*10/24/07 WED @ 608 Club - Seattle, WA w/ Amanda Palmer
*10/25/07 THU @ 608 Club - Seattle, WA w/ Amanda Palmer
*10/27/07 FRI @ 608 Club - Seattle, WA w/ Amanda Palmer
10/28/07 SAT @ Berbati's - Portland, OR w/ Amanda Palmer

*Please make note that the Seattle shows will only admit pre-sold tickets.
All tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available through the Dresden Dolls website: www.dresdendolls.com

We've also got AGUA DE ANNIQUE's (Ex-Gathering singer Anneke van Giersbergen's new project) debut album 'Air' now available for pre-order on The Omega.

To pre-order the album, go here: http://www.theomegaorder.com/s.nl/it.A/id.17280/.f?sc=2&category=38

I have heard this and I can confirm that it'll blow you away. "But...you don't have to take my word for it..." (Bonus points for whoever can figure out this reference! Think preschool...) Since none of you guys have any reason to trust me, you can check out their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/aguadeannique and listen to the four tracks they have up.

I am over-caffeinated today, and apologize for the lack of updates. MIDTERMS are (a) not the jam and (b) STILL going, which means I have been at home studying flashcards and not at work. But I am back and I remember how much I missed the free coffee. Mmmmmhmm. Here's whats going on in the world of The End:

1. Mike Bigel showed up at work today without a visible hangover. I don't know what happened, I think hell is freezing over. Could he not convince his legions of adoring fans to purchase him shots last night at the Levee?! Is he losing his edge?!
2. Coty finished the boys' bathroom and now I get the girls' back all to myself. It is glorious. Big ups.
3. Chris French and Jesse Lindmar are rapping in the kitchen right now. Skinny, white, hardcore kids should NEVER do this.

Oh, and Tub Ring played a show at the warehouse last week. EPIC!

And then everybody got drunk and did the LIMBO?!

Okay, I promise a real band update later today.
So, I started my fall classes this last week which is why I've been absent from the interwebz. NYU is a maze of bullshit, but now I'm back and updating like mad.

First order of business:
BIG UPS to ALL of the guys and gals who interned here over the summer. You guys did a great job and definitely helped the company run smoothly. We're confused and lonely here in the warehouse and now I'm back to being the only girl. And the guys are back to using the girl's bathroom regularly.

MUCH LOVE to Cole, Alex, Mara, Mel, Nate, and Anthony! You guys are the best.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Boohoo, you didn't get your shit together to see TUB RING live (and you totally missed out). Luckily, they're on top of it and now have you covered via Tub Ring Tube. They've already uploaded a bunch of clips from the tour with SGM.

The live footage was shot at Lee's Palace in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during the band's tour. Right now I can offer... ALBUM ART!

I think it's pretty bad-ass, but I haven't heard the album yet. Based on what the band members are saying though, I have a good feeling about the music:

"This ain't your one-note-chug-along and dance to-gay-haircut metal. There is thought behind the music and passion behind the musicianship. Metal that isn't compromising or commercial. This is the real deal. All killer and no filler... no singing... no 'breakdowns'. Real metal for real metalers. Keep it brutal and stay heavy." - Johnny Araya, bassist

"We never really discussed the direction. We all just knew it had be honest, unrellenting, abusive, and evil. That is what metal was all about in our opinion. The outcome is violent and makes me smile from begining to end." - Jeff Phillips, guitarist

"We never set any direction for this album, we did it for ourselves... It's a much more focused album than our debut and it's going to show. It's an in your face metal album for the true metalheads out there.. the only way I can describe it is pure evil..." - Justin Wolfe, singer

GARM aka TRICKSTER G (Ulver vocalist Kristoffer Rygg) and Tore Ylwizaker (programmer/keyboardist) are DJing the ULVER "Shadows of the Sun" record release show on Thursday, Sept 20th. The album isn't out until October 2nd, so this is your chance to get it early, see some good live music, and check out their DJing skills.

Experimental rock group The Austerity Program and stoner rock/metal duo Lapdog of Satan (members of Priestbird/Tarantula AD) will both be playing live. I've heard their shows are awesome, but I'm excited to find out for myself.
