L' ENFANCE ROUGE : un Trio franco-italien puis un Sextet occident-oriental, basé entre Berlin et Borj El Khadra. Plus de 1800 concerts depuis 1995, de Vilnius à Tbilissi, de Swinoujscie à Séville comme de Paris à Syracuse ; de festivals, théâtres et clubs en camps de réfugiés slovènes et croates durant l'avant-avant-avant-dernière guerre.
Avant-rock, atonal et électrique. Sans frontières, ni musicales ni géographiques. La presse européenne en parle comme un croisement entre introspection et accélération, entre cérébralisme, groove, transe et sauvagerie. Imprévisibles.
TRAPANI ~ HALQ AL WAADY, enregistré entre Tunis (TN) et Lecce (I) est le nouvel album produit par L' ENFANCE ROUGE. Une certaine électricité pan-occidentale fondue avec les fastes de la musique orientale. Une synergie créative entre larsens , feed-backs et ces fameux quarts de tons de la musique outre-méditerranéenne. Trapani-Halq al Waady : ligne Nord-Sud. Trapani , dernier port européen ; Halq al Waady, premier port Ifryqyen.
ANA LASTOU AMRIKYYAN (je ne suis pas américain). Si l'occident se referme, ses musiciens seront internationalistes et/ou terroristes. En précisant que de part et d'autre de la Méditerranée, il n'y avait bien sûr aucune volonté de réaliser une world-music bien formatée et à la mode, ni aucun tourisme/orientalisme colon/intellectuel.

L' ENFANCE ROUGE. The Red Childhood. A French-Italian Trio, then a Occidental-Oriental Sextet, based in between Reykjavik and Borj El Khadra. More than 1800 concerts from 1995, from Vilnius to Tbilissi, from Berlin to Sevilla as from Paris to Siracusa. Electricity. Blue lights. Still uncontrolled.
Avant-rock. Without boundaries, neither musical nor geographical. The European press talks about them as crossroads between introversion and acceleration, between cerebralism and wildness or barbarity. Unpredictables.
From its beginning, L’ ENFANCE ROUGE performed more than 1800 concerts from Vilnius to Tbilissi, from Swinoujscie to Sevilla as from Prague to Tunis, invited by international festivals, theatres and clubs.
"Rostock-Namur" the last-but-one album of L' Enfance Rouge has been released totally free downloadable on the web site www.enfancerouge.org (with more than 17.000 downloads).
TRAPANI ~ HALQ AL WAADY, recorded in between Tunis (TN) and Lecce (I), is the newest album produced by L' ENFANCE ROUGE. A certain pan-occidental electricity melted with splendorous oriental grandness. An inventive synergy in-between larsens, feed-backs and these famous arabic quarter-tones. The arrangements are signed by Mohamed Abid, unchallenged 'ud master from the "Orchestre National de la Rachidia", composer and teacher at the "Institut Supérieur de Musique" of Tunis.
If the whole occident is to be closed again on itself, its musicians are getting internationalists. By specifying that on both sides of the Mediterranean Sea there was of course no will to carry out a fashionable and well-formatted world-music, nor no orientalist tourism or intellectual colonialism.
Trapani-Halq al Waady : a direct and short from-North-to-South line. Trapani is the last European port, Halq al Waady is the first Ifrikian harbour.

Zunächst ein französisch-italienisches Trio, ansässig irgendwo zwischen Sevilla und Borj El Khadra. Seit 1995 mehr als 1.800 Konzerte, von Vilnius bis Siracusa, von Paris bis Tiflis. Avant-Rock ohne Grenzen, weder musikalisch noch geographisch. Die europäische Presse spricht von ihnen als Crossover zwischen Introversion und Akzeleration, zwischen Cerebralismus und Wildheit.
TRAPANI ~ HALQ AL WAADY, aufgenommen in Tunis und Trapani (Sizilien), ist das neueste Album von L'ENFANCE ROUGE. Eine spezielle pan-okzidentale Elektrizität wild vermischt mit extraordinärer orientalischer Erhabenheit. Eine erfindungsreiche Synergie aus Larsens, Feed-backs und jenen berühmten arabischen Viertel-Tönen. Die Arrangements tragen die Handschrift von Mohamed Abid, konkurrenzloser Oud-Meister des "Orchestre National de la Rachidia", Komponist und Dozent am "Institut Superieur de Musique" in Tunis.

L' ENFANCE ROUGE. Grupo franco-italiano, vive a caballo entre París y Túnez. Han realizado más de 1800 conciertos desde el 1993: de Vilna a Tblisi, de Berlín a Sevilla, de Bruselas a Siracusa. Han tocado en teatros, clubs o en los campos prófugos de Eslovenia durante la última guerra.

L ’ENFANCE ROUGE

Rock de vanguarda com inspiração magrebina.
Entre o porto siciliano de Trapani e o porto tunisino de Halq al Waady, o Mediterrâneo é um mar estreito, quase pede licença para passar. É neste território em que Europa e a África do Norte são capazes de se ver, sem mediações, uma à outra, que se desenvolve o projecto mais recente de L’Enfance Rouge, que Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) considerou “um dos melhores grupos europeus”. “Trapani – Halq al Waady” (2008), gravado em Tunis e Lecce, junta ao trio base constituído por François Cambuzat (voz e guitarra), Chiara Locardi (voz e baixo) e Jacopo Andreini (bateria) os músicos tunisinos Zied Zouari (violinos), Hend Zouari (qânun e voz) e Wassim Derbel (percussões). O encontro resulta numa experiência de grande potência e rigor musical entre o rock progressivo, sobretudo na linha do noise, e a música árabe tradicional. Internacio-nalista, anti-imperialista e assumidamente anarquista, L’Enfance Rouge responde ao fechamento do Ocidente com música de fronteiras abertas e crítica social. Art rock com “perfume de liberdade” (Libération) na estreia das madrugadas de música junto à praia.

L' ENFANCE ROUGE : un gruppo franco-italiano, avvolte un sestetto maghrebino-europeo, con base tra Berlino e Borj El Khadra. Più di 1800 concerti dal 1995, da Vilna a Tibilisi, da Swinoujscie a Siviglia, da Parigi a Siracusa ; festival, teatri e club, nei campi profughi sloveni e croati durante l'ultima-penultima-terzultima-quartultima guerra.
Avant-rock, atonale e elettrico. Senza direzioni musicali né frontiere geografiche o artistiche. La stampa europea ne parla come di un incrocio tra introspezione ed accelerazioni, tra cerebralismo e fisicità, groove e trance.
TRAPANI ~ HALQ AL WAADY, registrato tra Tunisi (TN) e Lecce (I) è il nuovo album prodotto da L' ENFANCE ROUGE. Una certa elettricità pan-occidentale fusa con i fasti della musica orientale. Sinergia creativa tra larsen, feed-backs e questi famosi quarti di tono della musica dell'oltre-mediterraneo. Gli arrangiamenti sono firmati da Mohamed Abid, maestro incontestato di 'oud all'interno dell' Orchestra Nazionale de la Rachidia, compositore e insegnante presso l'Istituto Superiore di Musica di Tunisi. Trapani-Halq al Waady : una linea Nord-Sud. Trapani , ultimo porto europeo ; Halq al Waady, primo porto "Ifriko".
Se l'occidente si chiude, i suoi musicisti saranno internazionalisti. Precisando che da un lato come dall'altro del Mediterraneo, non c'era nessuna volontà di realizzare una world-music ben formattata e alla moda, ne alcun turismo/orientalismo o colonial/intellettualismo.

... LER va oltre ogni più rosea aspettativa: è un capolavoro, inutile dilungarsi in ulteriori giri di parole. Essenzialmente riesce là dove molti, anche tra i più celebrati 'innovatori di fine secolo, avevano fallito: coniugare la ricerca musicale -quella più radicale, fatta di temerari fragori chitarristici, di estenuanti dilatazioni strutturali, come di silenzi che sembrano eterni- con l'arte sempiterna della poesia.
