hey. my name is erik mitchell. i live and work in what i finally feel comfortable calling the great state. texas, that is. amarillo is the city that i live in. i work for hillside christian church. it's an amazing church and i absolutely love my job. i run all the technical areas in the family ministries. there are three worship venues within that realm which gets pretty tough to remember whats going on where on a weekly basis. sometimes its a 40 hour week, but more often i run 65 or more hours; but i have yet to be tired of my job.
i really enjoy long walks on the beach, sand beneath the toes, the orange haze of the sun disappearing beneath the ocean as if it were a flat earth that we lived on. but hey, we all know that God created this earth round, so thats not true!
really though, i really like to hang out with friends, watching movies til i fall asleep at my typical bedtime of 11pm. ha, i know.. a full time, real job makes it hard to stay up real late every night. nothing is as easy as college anymore.
watching movies, making movies, learning to capture the moments of life with a camera, and bettering myself at my job are some of the things i spend my time doing. i think i work more in a week learning how to do my job than actually doing it.
Christ is my savior, and whether you know it yet or not, he is yours also. he cares for you more than any person that you are in love with EVER could. trust me, He will win.
