As I am working on the continuation of my branding project for my made up wine company “Snŏbb”, I ran into a wall when I finally got around to the wine label.

I am missing something. I am missing that “mmph!” I am not sure if it’s the typography or the way I stylized the logo. It could be both! However, it could just be me because I have never tackled packaging design before.

For the entire branding project I am trying to have everything bleed with arrogance while basing the overall design off of high-end fashion design such as Gucci, Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, etc., etc., etc. My color choices are black, gold and silver. For the background I took the “nose” of the logo and created a seamless background pattern that represents the trend of having a vintage touche. Do you think I am heading in the right direction? What could be changed? Is it because of the fact that it’s a rectangular label where as I could possibly create a custom shape? Let me know what’s on your mind.
