About Me

Words, Art, Love, and Revolution

I am a writer of screenplays, stageplays, poems, lyrics, books, novels, essays, encyclopedia entries, and academic articles. I am an avid amateur photographer and I love experimenting with my digital cameras and my cell phone. I am a professor of education and cultural studies at UCLA. I also own the Desert Highway Music Company where we have best indie roots artists. I am also an advocate for social justice and equality. Mostly, I am just me, a person in love with words and life. Someone who lives to create and creates to live.

Although I wear many hats, this site is solely dedicated to my words and my photographs.

I would love to meet other novelists, poets, screenwriters, photographers, filmmakers, and artists in general that are in the Los Angeles area or all over the world. I get to see and do a lot in life and those who have the courage to create are definitely my favorite people.
