My Music

Movies

If I were a film maker, the film that I would have liked to make the most is "Kill Bill" (Vol. 2). The cinematography in "Dreams, " by Akira Kurasawa is absolutely stunning. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is a movie I can watch any night of the week. I am also a Sci-Fi junkie: even bad Sci-Fi is better than nothing. Others worth mentioning: Shrek, So I Married an Axe-Murderer, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original version), A Mid-summer Night's Dream (Max Reinhard's version). My favorite film may be "Dancer in the Dark, " starring Bjork. I supposed that could be expected because she is my favorite human being of all time . . . .

Music

Bjork, Cake, Pat Metheney, Inga Swearingen, Joni Mitchell, all Jazz, and all Indie. I was in a band for a while, and we sang Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, and the Beatles--so, I have a soft-spot for all of them, too . . . .

Television

It's been about 7 years since I have watched TV, and I don't really miss it. I own one, but I don't use it. I guess the closest thing to it are Video Podcasts . . . .

Books

Brother's Karamazov, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Ulysses, Sound and the Fury, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, 100 Years of Solitude, Blindness, and anything written by Pablo Neruda. I am a Literature JUNKIE--just one more book, and I will feel that high that I felt the first time I read a book . . . just one more . . . .

Activities

Writing, Sailing, Photography, Programming, Music, and anything Art. I love all out-doorsy kinda stuff, been to an opera or two, enjoy formal dinners, cooking, and going to baseball games. I am really a glutton for life and want to do everything before I die . . . or, at least a good amount.

Interests

Langauges, travel, writing, reading, music . . . ahhh--EVERYTHING. I like everything, okay?
