We also seek to expose the injustice of our world in hopes that in its exposure, action can be taken to reverse the injustice. We do not believe it has to be forced down one's throat, but through education and awareness that brings relief.

We at Exrae believe that there is innate creativity built into all of us. Whether you are a painter with a love of red hues or an engineer with a love of numbers, creativity exists and thrives all around us. We strive to bring out this creativity by inviting amateurs and professionals alike to be welcomed into our spaces. To us, skill and experience are secondary because we understand that as long as people are putting their heart and soul into their passions such as painting, writing, music, fashion, etc., there is always something there that is valuable and worth recognizing.

It is our desire and our belief that we need each other. We need each other for support, critique, exposure, and love. We cannot live life alone. We also know that creativity is a great way to create community because it allows for walls to become sidewalks to meet each other and canvas to become conversation. We believe in the power of change that can come through creativity. The power of faith, hope, love and compassion. We desire Exrae to be more than a space to hang frames, but instead that there would be excitement in sharing the plight of humanity and what we can do as a community to make a difference. Why?
