Enhance your Virb experience with these neat little bits of nerdy goodness.

Personal Domains

Use your own domain name to "mask" the URL of your Virb profile. Because this requires modifications to your domain's DNS, be sure to visit the Personal Domain documentation first. And to learn more, watch the screencast.

Mobile

You can now publish text, photos and status updates to Virb via email, from your computer or your mobile device. Itching to try it out? Check out our mobile tools documentation and watch the screencast to learn more.

You can change your mobile address at any time, but remember to update your mobile device, too.

Bookmarklet

Simply drag the "Share on Virb" button (at the right) to your Bookmarks Bar. It's an easy way to share cool photos, videos, text, quotes and/or links from other websites to your Virb profile. To learn more about how the bookmarklet works, watch the screencast.

Currently supports Firefox on Windows and Firefox & Safari on Mac OS X.

OpenID

Virb now supports OpenID: An open standard designed to allow you the ability to sign in to multiple sites with a single login/URL. The biggest benefit of OpenID & Virb, is to those that manage more than one Virb profile. Once linked to your OpenID, you can switch between accounts with only the click of a mouse.

Start using OpenID with your Virb account.

Browser Search Bar

If you use Firefox 2/3 or Internet Explorer 7, this add-on will let you search for Virb content straight from the search bar in your browser:

VirbTunes is a software plugin for iTunes (version 6 or later) that tracks your song plays and sends the data to Virb.com. By sending this iTunes data to Virb, you are able to display your Recent Songs, Top Artists, Top Songs and Top Albums in your Virb profile.

VirbTunes is currently unavailable for download while we prepare for the updated version.

oEmbed

oEmbed is a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites. The simple API allows a website to display embedded content (such as photos or videos) when a user posts a link to that resource, without having to parse the resource directly.
