Eazy Geordie has always been surrounded and inspired by all types of music, and throughout his life one thing has remained constant. If it's got soul and it's well produced chances are he'll like it.
Before Eazy Geordie stumbled across Drum n Bass in 94 he was listening to various forms of Techno and Hardcore and picking up random Jungle tracks here and there until he came across Metalheadz and Prototype. Shortly after with the help of his friends Q and J W Pepper he found his way to the Blue Note and the Metalheadz Sunday Sessions. The Blue Note opened his eyes to what drum and bass was and what it had evolved into in those few short years since Jungle had come about. He fell in love with the melody, the aggression, the serenity, the beats, the breaks and of course that feeling in your chest when the bass drops.
Inspired by DJ's such as Randall, Doc Scott and Grooverider he soon stumped up the cash to invest in a set of 1210's and a mixer, the same ones which he still uses today much to his various neighbours over the years annoyance!
Eazy Geordie now spends the majority of his spare time working on various projects on Ableton Live. He has projects on the go not only with Drum and Bass but Old Skool, House and Electro.
Eazy Geordie uses a G4 Mac Book, an M Audio Trigger Finger with Ableton Live 5.0 and Reason, He also collaborates with his production partner and friend Kaitain, to create beats and bass lines to re-mix with and to add to DJ sets in Ableton.
With a lot of the Drum and Bass scene dismissing tools such as Ableton, Eazy Geordie sees it as a way to expand and be more creative with his DJ Sets. It enables him to add elements that he would never had been able to do with vynil and decks. For Eazy Geordie DnB has always been a forward thinking, ever evolving scene that he is proud to be part of.
