Here's a cover of "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye." Thanks to Neal for teaching me this version. I like the sentiments in the lyrics of this version. I have a tough time churching up the frailing while singing and changing chords, but here it is, warts 'n' all.
This is the first real tune I've tried to learn in Mountain Modal (GDGCD). I was inspired an assortment of other folks who posted their versions.

I stumbled across Sawmill Tuning for the banjo this weekend. Makes for something nice in Dorian, I think. I recorded a minute of frailing with the second string tuned up to C, fifth string tuned up to A. (ADGCD)
