Fighter/Lover is a heart pounding, dance-electro-pop-punk band from Toronto. Born from their Low Key Studios, this band has evolved from a question into a statement. So far, 2008 has seen the release of the new EP, the website and a video. Stay tuned for tour announcements, a new recording and a number of other exciting things in 2008 and 2009.

Fighter/Lover's driving, melodic bass rhythms and clever lyrical delivery are courtesy of Roey Shemesh. This is woven into a living wall of sound and texture via Howard Goldbach's synthesizers; drum loops, counter melodies, and a treasure of secret live tricks. The newest addition to the band is an organic root held in place with the solid support of Jon Fedorsen on drums.

Roey Shemesh has many musical inspirations and a long list of collaborations, shows and tours he has participated in. The Be Good Tanya's, Po'Girl, Veda Hille, Jesse Zubot, C.R. Avery, Kenton Loewen and Jeremy Page of Mother Mother. Roey's experience has included everything from Concert to Klezmer and Latin to Lullaby's.

Howard Goldbach brings his skills to the table with a bachelor of Music Degree from the University of British Columbia. His scholarly approach fuels the experimental aspect and stability of the music, bringing warmth and depth to each arrangement. Howard's interest in Jazz and Classical music plays a key role in his compositions. He has worked with many of Vancouver's finest improvising musicians.

Jon Fedorsen is a Toronto based drummer with a very diverse repertoire. Technically proficient and musically intuitive, this graduate of the University of Toronto Jazz Program continues to expand his musical boundaries with Fighter/Lover as well as building custom drum kits. Some of Jon's other musical endeavors include Ndidi Onukwulu, Chris Graham, The Former OPG and Stu Harrison Trio.
