FLOREZ hails from Nashville, TN and consists of myself Alex Florez (lead vocal, guitar), Erik Huffman (bass, vocal), Dusty Emerick (keys, banjo, harmonica, vocal). Dusty is the handyman with the stylish mop on his head. Erik's a bassist, his father was a bassist, and his mom's father was a bassist. We are a family. We live together, play together, and watch each others backs. We are ever developing, and ever pushing both ourselves and our music. Our hopes are to not only bring a fresh voice to modern music, but to bring songs that connect to the heart of people.


News and Highlights

- Release of In Flight quickly shot to #1 at Awarestore.com competing with the likes of Jack Johnson, Marc Broussard and Jason Mraz.

- Shared stages with artists like Gavin DeGraw, Will Hoge, Talib Kweli, Amos Lee, and Robert Randolph.

- In April 2005 FLOREZ signed a major co-publishing deal with Scott Francis, president of BMG Songs North America

- Winner of the 2005 Ice House Battle for the Boat Contest.

- "Natalie" from cd In Flight was featured on NBC's hit series "Scrubs" in January 2006.
