finally! recorded in 2002 and edited in 2004, the album [life emitting diode] by NEXICON is released in a limited edition cd audio by ANNIHILVS. featuring members of FRAGMENT KING and NTT (prolific American power electronics and dark ambient creators), NEXICON met for a series of jam sessions and live improvisations in new york in 2002. the material received further treatment in the sound facility of the nexialist organization, the white furnace lodge, by mark kammerbauer. NEXICON were determined to find truly improvisational uses of contemporary digital sound creation devices, resulting in the destruction of their equipment - this is what free jazz will sound like in 50 years. at times confrontational and elegiac, [life emitting diode] includes 9 pieces with a duration of 50 minutes wrapped in photographic artwork and is available through ANNIHILVS.
